King of humility and peace 겸손과 평화의 왕

Mark11:1-19 1Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, and the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples 2and said to them, "Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3If anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it and will send it back there immediately.'" 4And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. 5And some of those standing there said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?" 6And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. 8And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9And those who went before and those who followed were  shouting, "Hosanna! Mark10:32-52 Thinking and understanding Jesus foretold his suffering for the third time on the way to Jerusalem. This was to show that Jesus' death and resurrection were pre-determined events in God's plan of salvation. However, the disciples continued to focus only on who would be greatest among them. When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Jericho, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, called Jesus 'Son of David' and begged Jesus to open his eyes. Jesus stopped in his path and called Bartimaeus to come before him, then opened the man's eyes. Bartimaeus to come before him, then opened the man's eyes. Bartimaeus, who sight was restored, immediately began to follow Jesus. Mark 10:17-31 17And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, "Good teacher, what must i do to inherit eternal life?" 18And Jesus said to him, "What do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. 19You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.'" 20And he said to him, "Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth." 21 And Jesus, looking kept from my youth." 21 And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him. "You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." 22Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. 23And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!" 24And the disciples were amazed at his words. God's will 하나님의 뜻

Mark10:1-16 1And he left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered to him again. And again, as was his custom, he taught them. 2And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" 3He answered them, "what did Moses command you?" 4They said, "Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away." 5And Jesus said to them, "Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.' 7'Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, 8and the two shall be come one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." 10And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter. 11And he said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits a...

Mark 9:30-50 30They went on from there and passed through Galilee. And he did not want anyone to know, 31for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise." 32 But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him, 33And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, "Where were you discussing on the way?" 34But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. 35And he sat down and called the twelve. And he sat down and called  the twelve. And he said to them, "If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all." 36And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, 37"Whoever receives one such child in my name receive me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but hi...

Live by faith 믿음으로 사는 삶

Mark9:14-29 14And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. 15And immediately all the crowd, when they saw him, were greatly amazed and ran up to him and greeted him. 16And he asked them, "What are you arguing about with them?"17And someone from the crowed answered him, "Teachers, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute. 18And whenever it seizes them, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able." 19And he answered them, "O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me." 20And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth. 21And Jesus asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, ...

Mark9:2-13 2And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, 3and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no earth could bleach them. 4And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. 5And Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah." 6For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified. 7And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, "This is my beloved Son; listen to him." 8And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only. 9And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 10So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean. 11And they asked him, "Why do the scribes say that first Elijah ...

Mark 8:27-9:1 27 And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, "Where do people say that I am?" 28And they told him, "John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets." 29And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "you are the Christ." 30And he strictly charged them to tell no one about him. 31And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32And he said this plainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuked him. But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan! Do you still not understand? 아직도 깨닫지 못하느냐?

Mark 8:1-26 Thinking and understanding In the Decapolis regions, east of the Galilee, Jesus fed four thousand people with seven loaves of bread and two fish. By doing so, he allowed the Gentiles to encounter the abundance of God's Kingdom, just as he had done for the Jews. In contrast, Jesus ignored the Pharisees who sought from him a sign and taught his disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. However, the disciples misunderstood Jesus' words. Jesus rebuked them for their hardened hearts and spiritual blindness which prevented them from truly understanding. Then, Jesus healed the eyes of a blind man at Bethsaida. 이어 벳새다에서 눈먼 자를 고쳐 보게 하십니다. who is Jesus? vv5-9 Jesus fed the large crowd with the small amount of food the discipl...

what defiles us

Mark 7:1-23 1Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem, 2they saw that some of his disciples ate with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. 3(For the Pharasiees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly, holding to the tradition of the elders, 4and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.) 5And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?" 6And he said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, "This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 7in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men'. 8You leave the commandment of God and hold to the traditio...

A banquet in the wilderness 빈들에서의 축제

Mark 6:30-44 30The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while." For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. 32And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves. 33Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on the, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. 35And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, "This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. 36Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat." 37But he answered them, "You give them something s to eat."And they said to him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread an...

The courage of faith 믿음의 용기

Mark 6:14-29 14 King Herod heard of it, for Jesus' name had become known. Some said, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead. That is why these miraculous powers are at work in him." 15But others said, "He is Elija." And others said, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old." 16But when Herod heard of it, he said, "John, whom i beheaded, has been raised." 17For it was Herod who had sent and seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, because he had married her. 18For John had been saying to Herod, "It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife." 19And Herodias had a grudge against him and want to put him to death. But she could not, 20for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he kept him safe. When he heard him, he was greatly perplexed, and yet he heard him gladly. 21 But an opportunity came when Herod on his brithday gave ...

The unstoppable spread of the gospel 멈출 수 없는 복음의 전파

1He went away from there and came to his hometown, and his disciples followed him. 2And on the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things? what is the wisdom given to him? How are such mighty works done by his hands? 3Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?" Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without  honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and his own household." 5And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went about among the villages teaching. 7And he called twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave the authority over the unclean spirits. 8He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff-no bread , no bag, no money in their belt...

And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him. 25And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, 26and who had suffered much under many physicains, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. 27She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. 28For she said,"If i touch even his garments, i will be made well." 29And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30And Jesus, perceiving in himself ...

Mark 4:35-41 35On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side." 36And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and to him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" 39And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" 41And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" 35그 날 저녁이 되었을 때에, 예수께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. Mark4:21-34 21And he said to them, "Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a sand? 22For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light. 23If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." 24And he said to them, "Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. 25For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away." 26And he said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. 27He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. 28The earth produces by itself, first the blade, them the ear, then the full grain in the ear. 29 But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has 에come." 30And he said, "With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable ...

Jesus' True Family 예수님의 진정한 가족

Mark 3:20-35 20Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. 21And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, "He is out of mind." 22And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "by the prince of demons he casts out the demons." 23And he called them to him and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. 27But no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house. 28"Truly, i say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemes they utter, 29but whoever b...

He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. 6The Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against him, how to destroy him. 7Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great crowed followed, from Galilee and Judea 8and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon. And he was preaching the word to them. 3And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. 5And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven." 6Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7"Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" 8And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your bed and...
