At last, Joseph could no longer hide himself.
He wept loudly and declared:
“I am Joseph.”
His brothers stood speechless in fear and shock.
The brother they had sold was now standing before them as ruler of Egypt.
Yet Joseph saw more than betrayal.
He saw the hand of God.
“It was not you who sent me here, but God.”
Joseph did not focus only on his wounds.
He recognized God’s providence working through suffering.
Sometimes we walk through seasons we cannot understand.
But later we discover that God had already gone ahead of us.
