After hearing God’s word, Jacob departed from Beersheba.
He did not move alone.
He brought his sons, daughters, grandchildren, and his entire household down to Egypt.
They carried:
- their livestock,
- their possessions,
- and the whole weight of their lives into a new journey.
This was more than a story of relocation.
It was a journey of faith in response to God’s promise.
Jacob left the familiar land of Canaan,
but he moved forward holding onto God’s word.
Faith often requires the courage to leave familiar places behind.
And true faith is not merely about moving ourselves.
It is also about leading the next generation toward God.
