Jesus was baptized (Matthew:3:1-4:11)
There was a person. His name was John. God had special
purpose for his life.
It was preparing others to meet Jesus.
When the time came, John began his work in the wilderness
near the Jordan River. K
He cried to the people, “Repent, the kingdom of heaven is at
hand.
John warned the people that God judged sin
God did let them know that God loves human, and God want to
them be forgiven of their sins through the John.
And many people
gathered to hear what John said.
People believed what John said, and began to repent and live
according to God’s will.
They were baptized
into the Jordan River to show others that they were turned away from sin. .
So, John was called John the Baptist.
Many people began to say, “John must be the promised Savior
of God.”
Then John said, “He who comes after me is more powerful than
I,”
He told the people that he was not the promised Savior.
One day when John was preaching and baptizing, he saw Jesus
walking toward him.
And he said “ Behold,
the Lamb of God who take the sin of the world!”
Jesus was the very person that John had preached.
Jesus wanted to be baptized by John. Then, John said, “ I will be baptized by you,
why do you came to me?” and he reject to give baptize on Jesus.
Jesus did not have to turn away from sin as a sinless person
but he wanted to obedience by John to show others to obedience to God’s law. “now allow it,” Jesus said, “so it is proper
for us to achieve all righteousness.” Obeying that word, John went to the river
and baptized Jesus.
But when Jesus came up from the water, something amazing
happened. The Holy Spirit of God came down a dove and stayed above Jesus. And from
heaven a voice saying, “this is my
beloved Son, and I am well pleased.”
Then, whose voice was it? Yes, from the heaven, the Father
of God spoke and the spirit of God cam to the Son Jesus in the form a dove.
God showed John and the people thus that He is the Trinity,
the one God manifesting in three persons.
