Matthew 22:1-14. 하나님 나라의 초대
Thinking and Understanding
In the parable of the wedding feast, the King represents God, the servants represent God's prophets, the people invited represent the Israelites, and the wedding feast represents heaven and salvation, which is given to us through Jesus. Through the parable of the wedding feast, Jesus rebuked the Israelites who rejected the invitation to God's Kingdom and warned them of the judgement that would come upon them. Now, God invites all people, including Gentiles to his banquet. but what we must remember is that only those who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and have put on the garment of righteousness can join the feast.
Who is God?
God has opened his new Kingdom to all people. God's invitation extends to all people, transcending the boundary of bloodlines and social barriers. Therefore, shouldn't we also preach the people to all people whenever possible, regardless of whether or not we are given the opportunity?
What lesson is God teaching?
Anyone can be invited to God's Kingdom but not everyone can become a person of God's Kingdom. Just because we have received the invitation of grace does not mean we are excluded from the duty of putting on the garment of righteousness. if we are truly grateful for the grace that has allowed us to become Go's people, shouldn't we live in a manner that befits God's people in according with God's will?
